Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie News
Under 8 & Under 10
Training takes place every Wednesday outdoor at Ardcroney from 7.00pm until 8.00pm. All players new and old are welcome.
Under 12
We played Nenagh on Thursday last in Ardcroney in our first match of the championship. This was the first taste of championship for a lot of our players but they acquitted themselves very well against a strong well-drilled older Nenagh team. Whilst the result did not go in our favour, the performance bodes well for the future. We now face Silvermines in Ardcroney on this Thursday at 7pm and St Cronan’s in Roscrea on this Saturday. Team: Becky Hill, Laura Darcy, Grainne Gibson, Cliona England, Laura Tierney, Leah Brereton, Chelsea Cooney, Sorcha Heenan (capt), Bronagh Hogan, Grainne Molloy, Aoife Tierney, Gillian McSherry, Eleanor Percy, Sile Spain, Amy Quinlisk. Subs: Robyn Morkan, Meadhbh Heenan, Caroline Hill, Clodagh Healy, Emily Tierney, Katie Gould, Sophie O’Neill-Reidy.
Juniors
The Junior Team continued their fine form with a win against Nenagh and has now qualified for the semi-final stage of the league to be played on the 9th May. The final league game is on Sunday at noon in Cloughjordan.
Training continues each Friday at 8pm in Cloughjordan.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Mary Walsh who had a great game for the Tipperary Under 16 team who have qualified for the All Ireland Final.
Cul Camp
The annual Cul Camp for hurling and camogie takes place in Cloughjordan from Mon 5th to Fri 9th July. The camp is open to boys and girls from age 6 upwards. We would encourage all juvenile club members to attend this camp, as it is a week of great fun and excellent coaching sessions. Application forms will be distributed through the local schools.
