Under 12
Congratulations to the Kilruane under 12 camogie team, who had a great win in the section B county final, beating Silvermines 2-4 to 0-0. Without three of the team that started the county semi-final, the Kilruane selectors had changes to make, and all the panel contributed to this great win. Team: Roisin Cahill, Clodagh Hodgins, Nuala Ryan, Aine Kennedy, Emma Cleary, Emer Starr, Niamh Gibson, Shauna Tooher (captain), Sarah Coonan, Niamh Costello, Eibhlin Enright, Emilee Austin, Shauna Heffernan, Rachel Hill and Chloe Morkan. Subs: Ciara Grace, Leanne Tooher, Shauna Maher and Maura Maher. The girls now look forward to contesting the section ‘A’ league later on in the year.

Many thanks to all our supporters, to the parents of all these girls for their dedication in having the girls at training throughout the year, to the trainers and selectors on doing such a good job, and to Rose Cahill and the staff at The Western Pass, who put on a lovely meal after the final.

Junior B
Without the services of a number of regulars the junior B team put up a good performance, but lost out to Kildangan in the first round of the championship on Sunday last. After such a good league campaign this was a disappointing result for the girls. A full turnout is expected at training to prepare for the next match, where a win is vital if we are to stay in the championship.

Committee
A committee meeting will take place in the clubhouse in Cloughjordan on Monday 30 July at 8pm. All committee members should attend.

Thanks
Many thanks to the Carrig camogie teams who travelled to Ardcroney to play us in the under 10 and under 12 practice matches at the weekend. These were both closely contested games and of great benefit to all the players involved.
