Well done to the U16 panel who were victorious over Moneygall in the final of the U16 Nenagh Tournament which was held in Cloughjordan last week. This was a tough physical encounter between two very strong teams. Having had the better of the exchanges in the first half, we had to withstand a spirited Moneygall display in the second half before eventually getting the vital scores to win the match. Vice-Captain Joyce Tooher was presented with a cup sponsored by Costello Oil. Club Captain Claire Kennedy was unavailable to play due to county commitments. Thanks to Conor O’Donovan and Nenagh club for organising this tournament.
The club wishes the best of luck to club member Claire Kennedy and the Tipperary U16 team in the All-Ireland U16 final against Galway on this Saturday in Kilkenny.
Junior
The Junior panel recorded their first win in their first league outing against Thurles on Friday night last in Cloughjordan. This was a tough encounter resulting in a two point win for Kilruane. Training continues in Cloughjordan on Tuesday and Friday nights.
Best wishes to all club members who are making their Holy Communion during the month of May in Cloughjordan, Ardcroney and Kilruane.
Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the Finn Family Modreeny on the death of Mrs Carol Podmore, Rathurles.
