Kilruane Camogie News
Kilruane played the final round of the Munster league against Toomevara on Friday night last in Toomevara. Toomevara having won every round of the Munster League to date ran out comfortable winners on the night. Training continues in preparation for the first round of the championship due to be played on 9th August against Borrisoleigh. Commiserations to the Tipperary Intermediates team on their defeat by Kildare in the second round of the Intermediate Championship played on Saturday last in The Ragg. Kilruane is represented by four players, Fiona Ryan captain, Sarah Coonan, Lisa Cahill and Roisin Cahill.
U16 and U14
Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am in Ardcroney.
The U15 league got underway last week with two matches played. The first match was against Ballina in Ardcroney on Wednesday last. This was a very competitive match with great passages of play with Kilruane taking the honours on the night.
The second match was played on Saturday last in Cloughjordan against Silvermines. This was a tight contest with scores hard to come by. Kilruane were slightly ahead at half-time on a scoreline of 0-2 to Silvermines 0-1. The second half was keenly contested by both teams with Kilruane managing to stay slightly ahead with points from Amy Quinlisk. Leading into the final minute of the match, Kilruane were two points ahead until Silvermines won a free and scored a goal to win by a point. Final score Kilruane 1-5 Silvermines 2-3.
The U13’s are awaiting a confirmed date for their final round match against Drom.

Training continues as normal on this Wednesday from 6.30-7.30pm in Ardcroney.
