Adult Teams
Kilruane travelled to Kilkishen in Clare on Friday evening last to play Kilkishen in the second round of the Munster league. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half and Kilruane were 1 point ahead at half-time on a scoreline of Kilruane 1-06 Kilkishen 2-02. However in the second half, Kilkishen took control of the match as Kilruane struggled to contain them. Kilkishen ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of Kilruane 1-08, Kilkishen 5-09. The next fixture is away to Newmarket-on-Fergus on this Friday 20th.
U16 and U14
Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am in Ardcroney. Thanks to Borrisoleigh for the U16 practice match last week. It was a very useful workout for this panel of players.
U13
The U13’s suffered their first defeat in the U13 league last Tuesday when they travelled to play Annacarthy in Annacarthy. This was a tough match against a very strong Annacarthy team who ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of Annacarthy 2-7 Kilruane 1-2. The final match in this group is against Drom, fixture not yet confirmed.
U12
Training continues every Wednesday evening in Ardcroney from 6.30-7.30pm.
U6, U8 and U10
Training continues every Wednesday evening in Ardcroney from 6.30 – 7.30pm. New members welcome.
U8’s
The U8’s travelled to Toomevara for a well organised blitz on Saturday 31st May last. With 17 players at their disposal on the day, Kilruane management entered two teams. Toomevara also had two teams, with teams from Silvermines and Borrisoleigh also taking part. Both Kilruane teams acquitted themselves very well, and had some great performances and results. Teams: Jennifer O'Leary, Aoife Williams, Ava McGrath, Hazel Howard, Sarah Quinlisk, Jane Mulcahy, Kitty Murphy, Elena Ryan, Ali O'Kelly, Lucy Gould, Christine Percy, Katie Mulcahy, Molly Carroll, Ciara Barry, Ciara Madden, Ava Gaynor and Grace Corbett. Many thanks to the Toomevara club for organising the blitz and providing wonderful refreshments for all afterwards.
This Wednesday 18th the U8’s travel to Dolla to take on Silvermines in a challenge game at 6.30pm.
U10’s
The U10’s are due to travel to Puckane on this Saturday 21st June for a blitz at 10am. Details at training on Wednesday evening.
