Adult Teams
The Intermediates 2nd match of the league took place on Sunday last in Cloughjordan against Shannon Rovers. This was a tough and challenging encounter between these two teams. Kilruane played with the wind in the first half, with Maria Hogan scoring a goal and Marie Ryan, Roisin Cahill and Lianne O’Kelly adding on the points to go in at half-time on a scoreline of 1-3 to 0-4. However, in the second half, Shannon Rovers took advantage of the strong wind to pile on the pressure and the scores. Kilruane kept fighting to the end against the strong wind with points from Marie Ryan and Roisin Cahill. Shannon Rovers finished up the stronger team and pulled away to win on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-8. The next Intermediate match is away to Borrisoleigh on Sunday 20th April and the Moycarkey match will be refixed to be played before then. The Junior B’s are away this Sunday 13th against St. Cronan’s. Training continues on Friday nights in Ardcroney.
U16
Training continues in Ardcroney on Saturday mornings from 11-12 noon. The first round of the U16 championship starts on Thursday 24th April against Thurles.
U14
Kilruane got off to a disappointing start in their first round of the U14 championship against Burgess in Cloughjordan on Tuesday 1st April last. Kilruane opened the scoring of the match with a goal from Laura Shinners and a point from play from Mickela McGrath. Burgess settled into the match and began to take their scores, going in ahead at half-time on a scoreline of 3-3 to 1-1. While Burgess piled on the pressure in the second half, Kilruane kept the scoreboard ticking with a point from Mickela McGrath and a point from a free from Amy Quinlisk. However, Burgess got their fourth goal of the match to bring the full-time score to 4-3 to 1-3. The next match in the championship is refixed for this Thursday 10th in Dolla against Silvermines, thanks to Silvermines for accommodating the new fixture.
Tipperary U14
Best of luck to club members Amy Quinlisk and Tara Lillis who are representing our club on the Tipperary U14 panels for this weekend’s blitz in Limerick.

Training continues every Wednesday evening in Ardcroney from 6.30 – 7.30pm. New members welcome.
