After a 1-16 to 0-4 win over Toomevara in The Ragg on Sunday last the Junior A team are through to the League semi-final against Drom. Despite a slow start the Kilruane girls worked hard as the game progressed and got the result they deserved. Thanks to the Borrisoleigh club for the loan of their jersies for the first half of this game.
This win means that both our Junior teams are through to the semi-finals of their respective leagues. This is a marvellous achievement for the club and great credit is due to these sets of players and management, who are coordinating two adult teams for the first time. In the Junior B semi-final we take on Nenagh. Both these semi-finals are expected to take part on the May Bank Holiday weekend and a big effort is needed from both panels in the coming weeks.
The u14s continue their championship campaign. With 3 matches now played Kilruane have 2 wins over Thurles and Ballina and a loss against Annacarthy. There are 2 group matches remaining against Boherlahan and Kildangan. Training continues this week.
Our U12'S had a comprehensive win over Silvermines last Saturday morning in Cloughjordan in the 2nd match of the County League. Well done to all the girls who played great on the day. Our next match is a home match against Ballina. Text will be sent out with day and time.
Training for our younger panels, from under 6 up to under 12 continues from 6.30 to 7.30 on Wednesdays in Ardcroney. New players are always welcome to join.
Hard luck to Sarah Coonan, Shauna Tooher and the Tipperary u18 camogie team who lost to Dublin on Saturday last.
