Junior
Unfortunately our final group match fixed for last Saturday against Drom & Inch did not go ahead. Thanks to Annacarthy however who travelled to Cloughjordan at short notice to play a practice match. Our girls were well beaten by a stronger side on the night. Junior and u18 training continues as we await further fixtures.

Under 14
The U14 team bowed out of the league in their semi-final match against Clonoulty on Saturday last in The Ragg. This was a much improved performance from the last meeting of these two clubs when Kilruane were well beaten on that occasion. Kilruane opened the scoring with well-taken Gillian McSherry goal. This was followed immediately by a goal from Clonoulty. Scores were hard to come by with the game moving up and down the field at a fast pace. Clonoulty scored 3 points to bring the half-time score to 1-3 to 1-0 in their favour. The second half was much similar to the first, with Clonoulty adding a further 1-2 to bring the final result to 2-5 to 1-0. The scoreline does not reflect the intensity and hard work of all the team who pulled out all the stops in an effort to put more scores on the scoreboard.
Thanks to trainer and selectors David Reddan, Tina Coen and Marcey Keogh for the committment and work with this team during the year.
Team: Becky Hill, Chelsea Cooney, Tara Lillis (B), Cliona England, Leanne Tooher, Leah Coen, Grainne Molloy, Bronagh Hogan, Amy Quinlisk, Gillian McSherry, Caroline Hill, Sorcha Heenan, Aoife Tierney. Subs: Sophie Whelan, Grainne Gibson, Sile Spain, Rachel Armitage, Laura Darcy, Rebecca Whelan, Paige Reddan, Meadhbh Heenan.

On this Saturday 29th September the Kilruane club will host an u12 camogie blitz in Cloughjordan, with clubs from neighbouring counties invited to take part. This is the first time the club has hosted this type of blitz. Proceedings will get under way at 10.30am and expect to be finished by 1pm. Please support.

Under 8
The final County Blitz for the under 8 panel took place in The Ragg on Saturday morning last. With 23 players available on the day Kilruane entered two teams. Both teams gave great displays and should be proud of their improvement all year. Players were delighted to be presented with a medal afterwards. Thanks again to Pat Sheridan for organising all these blitzes during the year.
