Kilruane Camogie News

Junior
The junior team got their Munster league campaign off to a good start last Friday night with an away win over Doora-Barefield, on a scoreline of 2-5 to 1-5. This was a hard fought game with scores very hard to come by. Joyce Tooher and Orla Murphy worked very hard in the full back line and got great assistance from the excellent Aine Kennedy. Noreen Maher led by example in the forward line, while the reliable free-taking of Niamh Williams proved vital in deciding the game. Many thanks to the Doora-Barefield club for their hospitality and refreshments on the night. The second round of this league takes place this Friday 8th with an away game against Clanmaurice. Then on Sunday 10th the much awaited County league semi-final takes place in The Ragg against Thurles. All support greatly appreciated.
