Under 8
The under 8 team have had a busy week. One Wednesday evening Shannon Rovers came to Ardcroney for a practice match. With a panel of 25 players on the night, Kilruane used the opportunity to replace the whole team at half-time and brought on a whole new team for the second half. The match ended in a draw with great performances from all involved. Then on Saturday all roads led to The Ragg for the u8 County Blitz. Due to the large panel Kilruane entered two teams. The team managed by Peter McCarthy and Pamela Hayes played matches against St. Mary's Clonmel, Shannon Rovers and Drom & Inch. This team was made up of Kate Ryan, Lynn Farrell, Emma Williams, Amy McCarthy, Aishling Nevin, Caoimhe Conroy, Orna Daly and Tori Hogan. The girls came away happy with one win, one loss and one draw. Scorers on the day were Aishling Nevin and Caoimhe Conroy. The team managed by Damien Franks, Michael Grace and Eibhlin Enright was Niketa McGrath, Christine Percy, Aoibhe Spillane, Michaela Reddan, Hannah Grace, Niamh Franks and Grainne O'Meara. This team played against Moycarkey, Nenagh Eire Og and Cashel. The girls put in a great effort and did extremely well on such a hot day. Thanks to Pat Sheridan for organising another successful blitz. Training for this squad continues in Ardcroney Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. New members are always welcome.
