Junior
Well done to the junior A team for their win over Burgess at the weekend. Playing against a strong wind in the first half the girls worked tirelessly all over the pitch. An important goal from Jennifer Hodgins kept Kilruane in touch at half-time. In the 2nd half the hard work paid off. Goals from Claire Kennedy and Mary Walsh, along with an excellent penalty save from Sarah Coonan, ensured victory with a score-line of 3-8 to 0-6. This performance epitomised the effort and determination of the panel this year. Well done to the 20 players who got to play, and to the u16 players who made their junior team debuts. Training continues this Friday night as usual in preparation for the next game away to Newport on Monday 7th May.
