Junior
The Junior team had a good start to their league campaign with a win over Toomevara on Monday last. Toomevara took the lead in this close game played in very wet conditions. A well taken point from full-forward Jennifer Hodgins and a free from Fiona Ryan left the half time score at 0-2 to 0-1 in Kilruane's favour. The 2nd half saw the Kilruane girls up their performance. Goalkeeper Eibhlin Enright and her defenders gave little away, while the hard work of midfield and forward lines resulted in 3 goals from the stick of Marcy Keogh. The next league match is against Burgess and takes place in Cloughjordan on Sunday 22nd April. The usual big numbers are expected at training sessions and boxercise in preparation for this.
