U12
The U12 team secured their third win in the U12B league on Saturday last in Roscrea against St. Cronan’s. This was a fiercely contested encounter between both teams eager to get a place in the County semi-final. At half-time, the game was scoreless despite huge pressure by both sides to score goals. St. Cronan’s opened the scoring with a point from play. Kilruane responded with a point by Amy Quinlisk, which was followed by goals from Aoife Sullivan and Caroline Hill. This was enough to secure the team a place in the County semi-final. The last game of the group will be played this weekend against Ballina, details will be sent by text to the panel. The County semi-final is scheduled for the following weekend.

Junior
The Juniors overcame a gallant Kildangan team in last Sunday’s County Semi-final Junior A championship in the Ragg. This was a tough physical encounter played in atrocious conditions. The first half was a dogged affair with no quarter spared or given and Kildangan playing with the wind went in at half-time leading 1-2 to 0-3. The signs were ominous in the early stages of the second half as Kildangan resumed their attacking powers. However, Kilruane got back on track with opportunistic goal scored from a 30m free by Fiona Ryan. This catapulted the whole Kilruane team into action and they ran out eventual winners 3-7 to 1-3.

The County Final v Annacarty has been fixed for this Saturday 15th October in the Ragg Camogie Field at 3pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.
