U16

The U16 team pulled off a marvellous victory in the U16 qualifier match against a Moneygall team short a few regulars in Toomevara last Thursday. Both teams having 3 wins out of 4 games faced up to one another with the prize being a place in the County semi-final against Thurles. This was a very entertaining fast-flowing physical encounter with every score well-earned; exchanges were even in the first half except for a brace of goals by Leanne O’Kelly. An early second half goal from a 21 yard free by Sarah Coonan put enough light between the teams for the MacDonagh girls to take the honours.

The County Semi-final against Thurles is fixed for this Friday night 19th at 7pm in The Camogie Field in The Ragg.
