Juniors

Congratulations to our junior team who won the Junior B Final at the Ragg on Sunday last in a very tough game against a strong Fethard team. Scores were hard to come by in unbelievably hot conditions.

This team and their coaches and managers have put a tremendous amount of effort in and this win is reward for all of their hard work.

The team had been boosted by the return of Fiona Ryan from her travels and she had a huge impact in this match just as she did in the semi-final.

Whilst it was a great all round team performance special mention must go to Sarah Coonan who pulled off a full length flying save at a crucial point in the match. The defence lead by Lisa Cahill never stopped battling for the whole match and up front Claire Kennedy, Orla Williams and some fine touchline points from Louise Hogan saw the team home to victory.

We would like to extend our best wishes to all the girls with exams in the next few weeks and send our best wishes to Marie Ryan as she heads to America and we look forward to the day she returns to wear the black and white of the club once again.

Training continues on Friday, details to follow.

Cul Camp

The annual Cul Camp for hurling and camogie takes place in Cloughjordan from Mon 5th to Fri 9th July. The camp is open to boys and girls from age 6 upwards. We would encourage all juvenile club members to attend this camp, as it is a week of great fun and excellent coaching sessions. Application forms will be distributed through the local schools. Further enquiries to Gilbert Williams 087-2176452.

Sympathy
