Junior Hurling
The junior hurlers qualified for the semi-final of the championship thanks to a four point win against Silvermines on a 1-15 to 1-11 scoreline. At the interval MacDonaghs were two points ahead with the score 1-7 to 0-8 in their favour. On the restart, two quick points by Alan Ryan and Thomas Williams increased the margin to four, before Silvermines hit three points to leave the minimum between the sides. Kilruane replied by reeling off five points in succession. Silvermines struck for a goal in added time before Jonathan Cahill landed the insurance point. Minor Hurling
In the final group game the minor hurlers had a home victory against Roscrea on a 3-19 to 0-14 scoreline. Kilruane enjoyed a five point advantage at the break and a brace of second half goals from Niall O Meara put the issue beyond doubt. The u-16 hurlers lost out by a point at home to Roscrea on a 1-13 to 2-9 scoreline. Team; David Reddan, Eoin Burns, Eanna Hogan, P.J. U-21 Hurling
