U-16 Hurling
The u-16 hurlers had a narrow away win against Lorrha on a 2-15 to 4-8 scoreline. Against the breeze in the first half, MacDonaghs were seven points behind at the break. The deficit increased to nine points before Kilruane began to claw their way back into the game. Goals from Keith Kelly and Niall O Meara plus some well-taken points saw them surge into a four point lead with the game entering added time. A Lorrha goal left the minimum separating the sides at the final whistle. Team: Robert Ward, Eoin Burns, David Reddan, P.J. Cleary, Alan Darcy, Justin Cahill, David Williams, Keith Kelly (1-5), Niall O Meara (1-2), Morgan Conway, Niall Murphy, Robert Austin (0-1), Ronan Boyle (0-1), James O Sullivan and Eoin Williams (0-4). Sub: Sean Kelly (0-1).
Minor Hurling
Seamus Hennessy crashed a twenty metre free to the net with the second last puck of the game to earn the minors a one point win away against Lorrha on a 3-16 to 3-15 scoreline. They trailed two points at the interval and went five points adrift when Lorrha goaled immediately on the resumption. On a number of occasions MacDonaghs cut the deficit to the minimum but couldn’t gain parity. Two points in arrears with two minutes to go, the game had a dramatic ending. Pat Conway found the net, after a pass from Brian O Meara, to give Kilruane the lead. Lorrha surged up the field and raised a green flag to restore their two point advantage. Then Brian O Meara was hauled down and Seamus Hennessy did the rest. The final group game is at home to Roscrea. Team: Ger Corcoran, Timothy Walsh, Freddie Williams, Padraig Kelly, Kevin Ryan, Thomas Williams, William Cleary, Seamus Hennessy (1-7), Declan Barrett, Pat Conway (1-0), Jonathan Cahill (0-3), Jason Darcy (0-4), James Williams, Brian O Meara (0-1) and Justin Cahill (1-1). Sub: Niall O Meara.

Cleary, Aidan Boyle, Tomás Hogan, Jack Peters, Sean Cleary, Robert Ward, David Williams, Kieran Cahill (0-5), Alan Darcy, Ian McSherry, Andrew Brennan (1-0), Raymond Kelly and John Healy.
