We face Holycross Ballycahill in the opening round of the County Championship this Sunday, 26th July, in Templemore, at 3.30pm.
Junior
We drew with Roscrea in the third round of the ‘B’ Championship at St. Cronan’s Park, with both sides finishing on 3-16. After trailing by nine points in the final quarter, we thundered into the game with a brace of Louis Kennedy goals in the 50th and 51st minutes. An Oisín O’Meara point put the sides level in the 59th minute. MacDonaghs needed a two-point victory to qualify but were denied the elusive fourth goal. Thanks to the players and management for their efforts throughout the year.

Minor
In the second round of the championship, we were lost 3-18 to 2-15 by Kiladangan in sun-soaked MacDonagh Park. Despite being without several regulars, including county minor Hugo Healy, the players performed strongly and pushed a useful Kiladangan side right to the final whistle. We trailed 2-8 to 0-9 at half-time. Six minutes after the restart, Charlie Kennedy’s goal from a 20-metre free brought us back to within a point. Kiladangan, however, had stretched their lead to four by the second water break and struck their third goal from James O’Dwyer in the fiftieth minute to move six clear. MacDonaghs kept fighting, and Cormac Kennedy raised a green flag with seven minutes remaining. Kiladangan still held a four-point advantage with five minutes left and added the final two scores to seal a six-point win.

Under 16
Our ‘A’ team made it three wins in a row with a 3-19 to 1-13 victory over Burgess at MacDonagh Park. Three first-quarter goals from Lukah Williams laid the foundation for victory, helping us to a 3-7 to 0-7 half-time lead. By the final whistle, we had stretched the margin to twelve points.

Our second team lost 4-16 to 2-14 to Durlas Óg in MacDonagh Park. We had the aid of the breeze in the first half and led 1-10 to 2-5 at the interval.

Football
Well done to Tiarnán Casey, who scored four points for the Tipperary U15 football team in their Kelleher Cup win over Roscommon.
All-Ireland Jubilee
Mark O’Leary and his Tipperary colleagues, winners of the 2001 All-Ireland, were honoured before last Sunday’s All-Ireland final. Mark scored 2-1 in the win over Galway and received an All-Star Award later that year.
Walkathon
The Walkathon Fundraiser on Saturday, 8th August, is attracting strong interest across the parish. Team leaders and groups have organised several fundraisers to help the club reach its target. Proceeds will support the development of a new pitch and a 1km community walking track, benefiting the wider community for years to come. The club encourages everyone—young and old, at home and abroad—to get involved and support the campaign. Individuals, families, teams and local businesses can take ownership of a mile and contribute through sponsorship or fundraising. Anyone interested in taking part or supporting the initiative should contact any committee member for details.
80s Night

Road Hurling

Scrap Metal Collection
The club is holding a Scrap Metal Collection on Saturday, 15th August. All types of metal are welcome, including cars, car batteries, hot water cylinders and sinks.
