Walkathon
The Walkathon Fundraiser on Saturday, 8th August is generating huge interest throughout the parish. Team leaders and groups have organised a range of fundraisers to help the club reach its target. Proceeds from the Walkathon will go towards developing a new pitch and a 1km community walking track, facilities that will benefit the wider community for generations. The club is calling on everyone—young and old, at home and abroad—to get involved and support the campaign. Individuals, families, teams and local businesses can take ownership of a mile and contribute through sponsorship or fundraising. Anyone interested in participating or supporting the initiative is encouraged to contact any committee member for details.
All-Ireland Final
As part of their fundraising drive for the Walkathon, the senior team is organising a Raffle with the first prize winner receiving two Hogan Stand Tickets for the All-Ireland between Galway and Limerick. Four custom TCX hurleys can also be won. Tickets cost €10 each, 3 for €20 and can be purchased on the Club App or by scanning the QR Code on the promotional poster.

The Kilruane MacDonaghs U16 Camogie team is holding a Clothes Collection Fundraiser in aid of the Walkathon. Everyone is invited to take a few minutes to clear out their wardrobes and donate good-quality clothes, shoes, and accessories that no longer fit, are no longer worn, or have gone out of fashion. These unwanted items can be reused and will help raise much-needed funds—every bag makes a difference. Bags may be dropped off at the GAA Complex on Tuesday, 14th July and Friday, 17th July between 7.00pm and 8.00pm. Donations will be accepted until Monday, 20th July. If you cannot attend one of the advertised drop-off times, please contact Eoin Kennedy on 087-6540341 to arrange an alternative time at the GAA Complex.

It was a fantastic day, and we would like to thank everyone involved for their participation and support. There was a great atmosphere around the grounds, and this was continued during our family field day where kids completed a number of different activities varying from volleyball to mini circuits and long puck. We would like to extend our gratitude to all volunteers and sponsors who made the day such a success. One club, one community. Paddy, Niall and Éanna.

Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the family of the late Sean Melia. Sean was vice-president of the club, one of the lynchpins of Kilruane Bingo for many decades, a dependable and conscientious steward in MacDonagh Park, former committee member and a lifelong faithful supporter of MacDonaghs teams.
As a mark of respect, the Tricolour flew at half-mast in MacDonagh Park, and a minute’s silence was observed before the junior game against Moneygall. Sean’s coffin was draped in the MacDonaghs colours, and club members formed a guard of honour at his funeral.
