Senior
In the second round of the County League, we lost 1-20 to 0-20 against Cashel in MacDonagh Park. The game was played in wet and windy conditions, but both sides served up a competitive encounter with the result in doubt up until the final whistle. The management handed Tommy O’Meara his senior debut and he opened the scoring with a point. In the Niall O’Meara and James Cleary hoovered up an amount of ball in the MacDonaghs defence, and after nineteen minutes, the home side led 0-10 to 0-5. Cashel hit a purple patch before the break and fired over six unanswered points. At the interval, the visitors led 0-13 to 0-11. Ten minutes into the second half, Cashel scored the only goal of the game, and this score separated the sides at the final whistle.

Junior
In the second round of the County League, our Junior ‘B’ team lost 3-24 to 1-15 away to Killenaule. The scoreline is not a fair reflection of the the team’s performance. The players acquitted themselves well against Killenaule’s second outfit. It was an achievement in itself to have twenty-one players togged out in Killenaule on the last Sunday in March.
Team: Tom Austin, Danny Cahalan, Eoin England, Sean Quinlan, David Mooney, Cormac Mannion, Stasik Setikas, Tommy Burriss, Robert Austin, Pat Conway, Oisin O’Meara, Cathal McIntyre, Eoin Carroll, Andrew Austin, Dara O’Looney.
Subs: Shay Óg Kennedy, Paraic Nevin, Fearghal Doheny, Jonathan Cahill, Kevin Oakley, Niall Shinners.
In the second round of the North League, we play Templederry this Sunday 5th April, in MacDonagh Park, at 12.00pm. The ‘A’ team plays Toomevara in the first round of the North League in MacDonagh Park, this Saturday, 4th April, at 5.00pm.

Munster Tickets
There is a change to how the sale of tickets for the Munster Championship will be dealt with this year. Kilruane MacDonaghs will be utilising a Google Form to manage applications. We have not been advised of our allocations yet, but it is clear that demand is likely to far exceed availability. It will only be possible for club members to apply for a maximum of 2 tickets, and it is likely that a maximum of 1 may only be available in most cases. We will be advised of our allocation for the Cork and Waterford games this Wednesday, 1st April, and the application link will go live, and be widely circulated on that date for both matches. The link will remain open for 4 days. At that stage, the tickets will be allocated, and arrangements put in place for payment and collection. Every effort will be made by the club to facilitate all requests, but it is unlikely that our allocation will meet that expectation, and we ask for your understanding on this.
