Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the family of the late Michael Elebert, Rapla. Michael served as a selector with the senior, junior, minor, U16, U14 and U12 teams. He was involved with the U21 ‘B’ hurlers who won the North and County titles in 1994, the U14 hurlers North and County Rural champions in 1989 and the U14 ‘B’ footballers North champions in 1994. Michael also served on the club committee (1988-1994). He was a loyal follower of all club teams.
As a mark of respect, the Tricolour in MacDonagh Park flew at half-mast. His coffin was draped in the MacDonaghs colours, and club members formed a guard of honour at his funeral.

Sympathy is also extended to the family of the late Andy Whelan, MacDonagh Avenue, formerly Moanfin and Wolfhill, Laois, the family of the late Pat Cleary, Sedgemoor, Ardcroney and the family the late George Ralph, Emill Cloughjordan and Roseinn Street, Kilkenny.
