Congratulations to the Tipperary minor team and management on the magnificent victory in the All-Ireland final.

 

Junior

In the fourth round of the championship, we lost 0-23 to 1-14 against Toomevara in Roscrea. Toomevara led by 0-11 to 0-6 at the interval and maintained their advantage until the final whistle.

In the fifth round, we play Kiladangan this Friday, 5th July, in Nenagh at 7.30pm.

 

U19

In the semi-final of the ‘A’ football championship, we play Newport this Wednesday, 3rd July, in MacDonagh Park at 7.30pm.

 

Minor

In the first round, we recorded a 3-21 to 3-16 victory over Moneygall Clonakenny in St. Flannan’s Park. Scorers: Michael Cleary (2-7), Michael Hennelly (1-6), Ray Quinlivan (0-3), Cillian Healy (0-2), Tommy O’Meara, Paul Molloy & Johnny Naughnane (0-1) each.

 

U15

In the North/West League, we had a 4-15 to 2-10 away victory over Cashel. We had the assistance of the wind in the first half and led by 2-8 to 0-5 at the break. Midway through the second half, Cashel cut the gap to six points, but we finished the stronger to claim the points.  Thanks to Cashel for facilitating the fixture change.

Subs: Culann Haverty, Arman Khan Wahid, Shane O´Meara. In the next round, we are away to Roscrea this Thursday, 4th July, at 7.30pm.

 

U13

Our three teams were in action last week against Éire Og in Nenagh. The ‘C’ team had a 5-9 to 5-3 victory while the ‘D’ team prevailed on a 2-1 to 1-3 scoreline. In the ‘A’ match, a strong finish by Nenagh saw them win by 5-11 to 2-13.

 

Summer Camp

Niall O’Meara’s annual Summer Camp takes place in Ardcroney NS from Monday, 22nd to Friday 26th July.  Monday to Thursday the Camp starts at 9.00am and finishes at 2.00pm while Friday has an earlier finishing time of 1.00pm. Contact Niall 0862587189 for more details.

 

Tipperary Draw

The new Tipperary Draw commences in July with a €500,000 prize fund, 10 monthly draws, 10 weekly draws and a total of 500 prizes. The star prize in July is €30,000 while the first prize  every month from August to April is €20,000. Since its inception in 1988, the Tipperary Draw has contributed handsomely to club coffers, and  over the years, our subscribers have scooped some of the biggest prizes on offer. With major plans to develop a second playing pitch and a 1km walkway, the Tipperary Draw will be a critical source of revenue for the club. We thank all who have supported the Draw, and we look forward to your continued backing.

Bingo

The weekly Bingo session continues on Saturday night in the Fr. O’Meara Centre, Kilruane at 8.00pm. The jackpot is now a very attractive €1,750.

 

Sympathy

The club extends sympathy to: the family of the late Donal O’Meara, Ballyrickard, Ardcroney; the family of the late Mary Bergin, Clonmore, Ballymackey; and to Michael Rohan and family on the death of Margaret Rohan, Millstreet, Cork.
