In the third round of the County League, we drew with Borris-Ileigh in MacDonagh Park. We put 1-13 on the board in reply to 0-16 from the visitors. Borris-Ileigh led by 0-4 to 0-1 after seven minutes  and had opened a five-point gap by the 19th minute. MacDonaghs clawed their way back into the game as halftime approached and were a point in arrears as the teams adjourned to the dressing rooms. Heading into injury time, Borris-Ileigh led by the minimum, but Willie Cleary slotted over the equaliser from a free to leave both teams with a share of the points.
