Friends of MacDonaghs

The Complex was packed to capacity last Friday night for the launch of the new Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA & Camogie jersey and the ‘’Friends of MacDonaghs’’sponsorship initiative. Author and broadcaster Damian Lawlor and Michelle Drysdale, great granddaughter of Thomas MacDonagh were in attendance for the launch. “Friends of MacDonaghs” is aimed at enabling supporters to contribute to the ongoing  success and development of our club and teams. We have devised a number of options, silver, gold, diamond and platinum, all aimed at making the initiative accessible to businesses and individuals across our community and further afield. One of the key features of this new initiative is that we will, as a club and as a community, be backing ourselves. Our jerseys  and all club gear will be re-branded with the ‘friendsofmacdonaghs.ie’ logo, and with our new club motto ‘’One Club, One Community’’. For further details, log in to friendsofmacdonaghs.ie, email friendsofmacdonaghs@gmail.com or call 0868145467.

We have had a very positive response to this initiative. Every individual and business supporting this initiative will have pride of place on our “Friends of MacDonaghs” wall adjacent to the entrance gate to the pitch. Thanks to the subcommittee that did Trojan work over the last few months in developing the “Friends of MacDonaghs” sponsorship initiative, producing a very attractive and informative brochure and organising a very professional launch. One of the features of this project to date is the involvement of so many new members and the willingness of parishioners with expertise in IT, marketing and business to offer their services to the club.

Website

We have relaunched our club website ‘’Kilruane.com’,’ which will play a pivotal role in the future. ‘Kilruane.com’ will host the details of all of our ‘‘Friends’’ and include links to their business details, websites etc. Our ClubSpot App, launched in January 2023, will show the details and links to all of our ‘’Friends’’.
