New York Dinner Dance

Seamus Hennessy is one of the guests of honour at the Tipperary Hurling Club of New York Dinner Dance on December 11th at the Lake Isle Country Club Eastchester.

Offaly County Final

Last Sunday’s Offaly county final in Tullamore marked the 50th anniversary of the first presentation of the Sean Robbins Cup to the winning captain. To mark this anniversary the Offaly County Board invited all previous recipients of the cup to the final between Tullamore and Coolderry. Our parish priest Fr. Tom Hannon captained Kinnitty to victory in 1978. Fr. Hannon had just finished his stint in Kinnitty as a curate but returned from his ministry in England to lead his former parishioners to victory.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend sympathy to the Quinlan and Sheppard families on the death of MB Quinlan Clermont. MB was wife of Philip and mother of Kevin, Shane and Anne Marie. MB was a former promoter of the county draw and a faithful follower of the Kilruane MacDonaghs club.
