Under 8 Camogie

On Saturday morning Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie Club took part in yet another successful under 8 County Blitz in The Ragg. 16 teams took part, with Kilruane being the only club to enter 2 teams.
The team managed by Peter McCarthy and Eibhlin Enright consisted of Aisling Nevin, Aoibhe Spillane, Lynn Farrell, Amy McCarthy, Ciara McCarthy, Molly Kennedy, Kate Ryan, Sarah Loughnane and Orna Daly. They played matches against Borrisoleigh, Toomevara and Drom & Inch.

The team managed by Damien Franks and Aine Kennedy consisted of Michaela Reddan, Emma Williams, Hannah Grace, Nikita McGrath, Grainne O’Meara, Christine Percy, Alannah Correia, Niamh Franks, Emma Moroney Fitzgerald and Eva Meehan. They played games against Knockavilla, Portroe and Holycross.

Well done to both teams and their trainers for great performances in these 7-a-side games. The final County Blitz of the year for the u8’s will take place in 2 week’s time September 22nd.

Many thanks to Pat Sheridan, County Development Officer, for all his work organising these blitzes during the year. There have never been as many matches organised for our younger players before. No doubt these will pay dividends in the years to come.
