Senior

The club extends best wishes to Niall O’Meara who was injured in the game against Westmeath. In the County League, MacDonaghs will be at home to Upperchurch-Drombane on Sunday, 16th July at 1.00pm.

 

Junior

The championship begins on this Friday evening with a home game against Toomevara at 8.00pm.  MacDonaghs will then face Nenagh, Burgess, Knockshegowna and Borris-Ileigh in the remaining games. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.

 

Minor

MacDonaghs take on Lorrha/Rovers Gaels in the semi-final of the football championship in Borrisokane on this Thursday, 6th July at 7.30pm. After the heroics of the Tipperary minor hurlers in Semple Stadium the third round of the hurling championship against Nenagh Éire Óg has been deferred until Thursday, 13th July. Both Jerome Cahill and Craig Morgan played influential roles in the epic encounter against Cork.

 

Community Games

MacDonaghs overcame Cratloe by 5-1 to 1-5 in the Munster semi-final in UL. In the decider they found Monaleen too hot to handle and lost out by 7-3 to 1-2. The team had a great year, winning the county final and securing the silver medals in Munster. Thanks to the players and coaches for all their efforts.

 

Under 8

On last Thursday the club hosted a Blitz in MacDonagh Park. Portroe and Silvermines came with two teams each while MacDonaghs put four teams on the field. Every team played three games. Thanks to the ladies who supplied the refreshments afterwards.

 

Cúl Camp

A record-breaking 198 participants registered for this year’s Cúl Camp which commenced in MacDonagh Park on Monday.
