After last Saturday’s loss against Thurles attention now switches to the second round game against Moycarkey Borris on Saturday, 8th August in Templederry at 3.00pm. Due to government restriction on attendance, the club will receive only 30 tickets for this game which will be allocated to the team and management. We regret that we will unable to facilitate our loyal supporters for this fixture.

Despite a much-improved display we lost out to Kiladangan in Borrisokane on a 5-17 to 2-16 scoreline. Best wishes to David O’Sullivan who sustained a wrist injury in this encounter and is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the championship. Our final group game is against Toomevara in Moneygall on this Wednesday, 29th July at 7.00pm.

In the ‘A’ championship MacDonaghs gave a gritty display against a formidable Borris-Ileigh side in the opening round in MacDonagh Park. The visitors took the points on a 1-8 to 0-6 scoreline. Our second team lost out by the minimum of margins in a home tie against JK Brackens in the ‘D’ competition.

Under 12

Both our teams saw action last week. Our first team travelled to Borrisoleigh but had to give second best to the home outfit while our second team lost out to Roscrea in St. Cronan’s Park.
