Inter County

Best of luck to Niall O’Meara, Craig Morgan, Eamon O’Shea and the Tipperary team in the All-Ireland Quarter-Final against Waterford on Saturday. Commiserations to Kian O’Kelly and the Tipperary U20 team that lost out to Cork in the semi-final.

Senior

We have been drawn to play Ballina in the first round of the North Championship. The progress of Tipperary will determine the fate of this competition.

Junior

Toomevara will provide the opposition in the first round of the Junior ‘A’ championship in MacDonagh Park, Cloughjordan on Thursday, 5th August at 7.00pm. The Junior ‘C’ championship is scheduled to start on weekend of 15th August.

Under 19

The semi-final against Ballinahinch/Templederry takes place in Kilcolman on this Wednesday, 28th July at 7.15pm. Admittance is by ticket only with 2020 passes valid for this match.

Juvenile

Our U17 team just edged out Burgess by 1-13 to 0-15 in MacDonagh Park. Both our U13 teams were in action against Borris-Ileigh last week in Bishop Quinlan Park with the home teams shading the verdicts. Our U11 teams had home advantage against Ballina but it was the visitors who prevailed in both games. On this Thursday our 15 ‘A’ team take on Silvermines in Dolla. The ‘D’ team will be up against Thurles Gaels with details of the fixture still to be finalised.

Cúl Camp

Our second Cúl Camp was blessed with glorious sunshine and the participants enjoyed a fun-filled week. To adhere to Covid Guidelines the capacity was once again  limited to 100. Thanks to Conor Sheedy (Head Coach) and his assistant coaches Abigail Quinlivan, Anna Mulcahy, Katie O’Meara, Andrea Brennan, Mirriam Murphy, Caoimhe Carey, George O’Leary, Sean Dunne, Craig Morgan, Mark Fanning and Conor Hennessy who organised a varied programme of activities.

Parents Helen O’Meara, Ann O’Meara, Mirriam Talbot, Bernie Shanahan, Jim O’Meara, Mary Rose Cleary, Niamh Corrigan, Laura Ryan and Gerard Horan provide invaluable assistance which was very much appreciated. MacDonagh Park was in its usual pristine condition for the Camp thanks to the efforts of Tommy Houlihan, Denis Powell, their colleagues on the Fás Scheme and Michael Hogan chairman of the Park Committee. Camp co-ordinator Michael O’Meara  supervised the proceedings with his customary efficiency.

Summer Camp

Niall O’Meara and Eanna Hogan are organising a Summer Camp in Ardcroney School 9th to 13th August from 9.00am to 2.00pm each day.
