The North Tipperary 40×20 juvenile handball finals were played last weekend in Nenagh with Lahorna well represented in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions. Jack Mulcahy had a tough game against his Ballina opponent and won narrowly while Rory Grace also came out on top against Ballina. The girls celebrated Nollaig na mBan in style as Sarah and Aoife Williams, Clodagh Shinners, Katie Mulcahy, Lucy Gould and Leanne Gould, Christine Percy and Hannah Grace all had very good victories in their age groups while Anna Mulcahy and Áine Spain lost out in U16 doubles.
The club extends sympathy to: the Morgan family, Kyle and the O’Meara family, Ardcroney on the death of Christy Morgan (Sr), Nenagh; the family of the late Essie Burns, Emill; the Deane and Williams families, Cloughjordan on the death of Helen Deane (née Williams); the Long and Carroll families, Sopwell on the death of Gerry Long.
