Handball

Some of our Juvenile Camogie players took part in the Cumann na mBunscoil Munster Handball Finals hosted in Broadford, Limerick on Saturday. Among them were Aoife Williams and Clodagh Shinners (Ardcroney NS) who beat Cork in the semi-final and Clare in the final of the u11 doubles. Leanne Gould (Ardcroney NS) had a tough u13 singles quarter-final against Cork (20-20) which resulted in a tiebreaker where she came out on top (11-4) Leanne went on to beat Clare and Limerick respectively to earn her Munster title. Lucy Gould (Ardcroney NS) lost out in the u11 singles to a very strong Cork player. Hannah Grace and Christine Percy (Kilruane NS) had a good win against Cork but lost narrowly to Clare in the u13 doubles final. Well done to all involved. Winners Aoife, Clodagh and Leanne will progress to the National Cumann na mBunscoil Finals in Kingscourt, Cavan on Saturday 26th February. Go ndeiridh an bóthar libh!
