U,8,10’s: There will be a match for the u8’s and 10’s this Wednesday 7th in Puckane v Kildangan.

Can all girls please be there for 6:30pm.

Intermediate:  Hard luck to the Intermediates who narrowly lost out to Drom in their final group game in Cloughjordan last Friday evening.

The girls showed tremendous spirit and work-rate throughout the game and were always in touching distance of the opposition until a goal from Drom with 15 minutes to go put them 5 points up. To the credit of the Kilruane girls they never gave up and they scored a goal from a long distance free with just a few minutes to play, then they piled the pressure on Drom and were unlucky not to score another goal when they soloed through the Drom defence and shot just wide. The girls were not to get another chance. The final score was Drom 2-7 KIlruane 2-5.

The team has already qualified for the quarter final, so management ask that all girls make an extra effort to attend training in preparation for the next stage of the championship which will take place on Sunday 18th September.

U12: It was a mixed bag of emotions for our u12 teams last week as the white team were defeated in the County final v Carrick Swans but the black team were victorious over Roscrea on a score-line of 2-1 to 1-1. Commiserations to the u12 white team and congratulations to u12 black team.  Well done to all girls on both teams on what was a magnificent year, the club would like to thank all parents, players and management for the outstanding effort that was put in all year. What a great achievement it was to have the two teams both reach county finals, all credit due to everyone involved.

Tipperary: Congratulations to the three Kilruane players and the two Tipperary teams on their double All-Ireland success on Sunday last. Well done to Jerome Cahill, Cian Darcy and the Minor team on their seven point victory over Limerick, and well done to Niall O’Meara and the Senior team on their nine point victory v Kilkenny.

Best wishes: The Camogie club would like to wish the Kilruane senior team and management the very best of luck in the North semi-final this Sunday in Nenagh.
