Weekly Notes

U/21 Football:
In the first leg of the semi-final the U/21 footballers were beaten by Silvermines in Dolla on a 2-8 to 0-6 scoreline. Silvermines will start with an eight point advantage in the second leg which will be played in MacDonagh Park on march 3rd. Team: Paul Farrell, Colm Williams, Martin Walsh, Thomas Williams, Liam Gibson, Ray McLoughney, Kevin Ryan (0-1), Stephen Murphy (0-1), Jonathan Cahill, Shane Quinlan (0-2), Gavin McAvinchey, Ger Corcoran, Jim Conway, Seamus Hennessy (0-2) and Michael Costello. Sub: Declan Barrett.

County League:
In the county league the senior hurlers have been drawn away to Upperchurch-Drombane in the first round on Sunday March 4th. Burgess and Killenaule are also in the group. One team will qualify for the division one final.

Indoor Hurling:
The indoor hurling training is now in full swing. On Monday nights the U/12’s commence at 7.00p.m., followed by the U/16’s at 8.00p.m. On Tuesday nights the U/8’s begin at 6.30p.m. and the U/10’s are in action at 7.30p.m. The U/14’s are scheduled for Thursday nights at 7.00p.m.

Summer Camp:
The VHI Cúl Summer Camp will take place in MacDonagh Park from Monday July 9th to Friday July 13th. Application forms will be circulated through the schools.

Sympathy:
The club would like to extend sympathy to Helen Heenan on the death of her father.
