The U-16 hurlers play Nenagh Eire Og in the semi-final in on Tuesday September 8th at 6.30 p.m. The venue has to be confirmed. Check Bord na nÓg fixtures.
Ambassador’s Visit
On last Saturday the Cuban Ambassador Noel Carillo visited MacDonagh Park and watched the U-16 hurlers training. Mr. Carillo spoke to the panel and club officials after the session. He referred to the close links between Ireland and Cuba and he was very familiar with the part played by Thomas MacDonagh on the struggle for Irish independence. Sean Ward, chairman of the juvenile club presented the ambassador with a Kilruane MacDonaghs jersey. Mr. Carillo assured the gathering that he would wear the jersey with pride in Havana.
