Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie News

Junior

After a short winter break, our Junior panel resume training this Friday night. It is hoped that all players will make themselves available. Tús maith leath na hoibre!

County teams

Well done to Sarah Coonan and Shauna Tooher who played an important part in Tipperary u18’s win over Clare in the Munster semi-final at the weekend. Sarah lined out in her customary no.1 position, while Shauna filled the important centre-forward slot and contributed a point to the scoreboard. Best wishes to both girls in the Munster Final and the All-Ireland series, which will start shortly.

Claire Kennedy lined out with the Tipperary senior camogie team in their practice match win over Wexford at the weekend. Claire was unfortunate to pick up an early injury and had to depart the scene after 15minutes, but not before adding a point for her side. Best wishes to Claire for a speedy recovery.

Child Welfare

A Basic Awareness Child Welfare course will take place in Ardcroney Hall on Tuesday 19th February 7-10pm. It is recommended that all trainers/selectors working with players under the age of 18 should complete this training. Places are limited however and anyone interested should give their name to Child Welfare Officer Paula McSherry as soon as possible.

Dates for your diary

Our annual bag packing event will take place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June in Dunnes Stores. Your support will be much appreciated as always.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathies are expressed to Frances Cleary and family on the death of her Uncle Stephen Oakley Shinrone, who died recently.
