U-12 Hurling
The u-12 hurlers had a good away win against Borris-Ileigh in the first round of the championship. Aidan Boyle had a goal in the opening minute and at the break MacDonaghs led on a 2-1 to 1-1 scoreline. In the second half they added 2-3 while the home side responded with 0-2 to leave seven points separating the sides at the end. Team: Anthony Spillane, William Ryan, Sean Cleary, Cormac Boyle, Conor Austin, Tomás Hogan, Finnian Manion, Aidan Boyle (1-3) John Healy, Conor Cleary (1-0), Conor Doheny, Kieran Brereton (1-0), Keelan Troy (1-1) and James Cleary. Sub: Niall Shinners. In the next round they are home to Toomevara on Friday June 1st at 7.00 p.m. .

Schools Hurling
Kilruane N.S. advanced to the semi-final of the championship with a hard earned win against Carrig N.S. in MacDonagh Park. In the semi-final they will play the winners of the Ballinree and Dunkerrin game.

Parish League
The finals of the parish league were played in MacDonagh Park last Saturday. In the plate final Limerick captained by Aidan Boyle just got the better of Patrick Ryan’s Waterford. The A final was equally exciting with Cork captained by Andrew Brennan edging out Tipperary captained by Jack Peters,. After the games juvenile chairman Sean Ward presented the trophies to the winning captains Andrew Brennan and Aidan Boyle. He also presented the winners and runners-up medals. Thanks to Dan Darcy who refereed matches and to Jimmy and Joe Cahill who officiated at earlier rounds.Thanks to caretaker Pat Williams who had the pitch in pristine condition and to David Williams who operated the scoreboard .

Congratulations to the 29 boys and girls who made their Confirmation in Cloughjordan last Sunday.

Coaching
Hurling coaching for all primary school boys continues in MacDonagh Park next Saturday at 11 o clock. All u-6’s,u-8’s, u-10’s and u-12’s are to attend. All the u-12 panel are expected to attend each Saturday.
