Kilruane welcomed Moycarkey to Cloughjordan for the second round of the Intermediate Championship on Saturday 16th August last and emerged victors by 10 points. The Kilruane defence was on top throughout and only conceded 4 points during the entire match. At the other end scores were hard to come by and while the game ended goalless, the Kilruane girls racked up 14 points to ensure a priceless win.Next up for the girls is a third round clash with Drom in the Ragg fixed for Sunday next 31st August. Victory here could see the MacDonaghs reach a County Intermediate Semi-final.

U14
The U14’s got their league campaign underway with a good win over Toomevara in the first round on Thursday evening last. Kilruane get off to a great start scoring 3 goals in the first six minutes of the match. Toomevara registered their first score with a goal from play after ten minutes. However, Kilruane worked very hard all through the first half picking off some fine scores to bring the half-time score to Kilruane 4-4 Toomevara 1-0. Kilruane took control of the second half and registered a further 2-3 to Toomevara’s two goals to bring the final scoreline to Kilruane 6-7 Toomevara 3-0. U10
The U10 girls took part in the ‘Moira Cahill’ U10 blitz in Dundrum on Saturday 16th August last. 18 teams took part from North, South, Mid and West Tipperary on the day and were led out on the pitch behind the lone piper in a colourful parade. Kilruane qualified out of their group which included matches against Kickhams, Cahir and Holycross. They got through to the quarter final against Moycarkey and played extremely well but were unlucky on the day not to win. Well done to Knockavilla/Donaskeigh for organising a great day of camogie. Thanks also to the Kilruane management team who looked after the girls on the day.
