Adult Teams
Kilruane got their Munster league campaign off to a winning start with a good win over Truagh/Clonlara in the first round on Friday last in Cloughjordan. Scores were evenly divided between both teams in the first half with Lianne O’Kelly opening the scoring of the match with a point from play followed by a point from Truagh/Clonlara. Lianne O’Kelly scored the only goal of the first half. Points were exchanged between both teams with Roisin Cahill, Orla Williams and Lianne O’Kelly adding to the scoreboard to bring the half-time score to Kilruane 1-6 Truagh/Clonlara 0-9. Truagh/Clonlara started the second half with a goal. Kilruane responded with a point and a goal from Lianne O’Kelly followed by points from Orla Wiliams, Carmel O’Brien and Marie Ryan. Orla Williams added another goal from play with further points from Roisin Cahill and Marie Ryan to put Kilruane well in control of the match. Truagh/Clonlara added three unanswered points just before full-time to bring the final score to Kilruane 3-14 to Truagh/Clonlara 1-12. The next fixture is scheduled for this Friday 13th June in Kilkishen.

U16 and U14
Training continues on Saturday mornings at 11am in Ardcroney.

U13
Kilruane played Newport last Tuesday 3rd in Cloughjordan in the 3rd round of the U13 league. Mickela McGrath opened the scoring in the 1st minute with a point from a free. This was soon followed by a goal each from Bonny Conroy and Mickela McGrath. Newport kept the pressure on and scored 2 goals in succession, which was followed by a point from Mickela McGrath leaving the half-time score Kilruane 2-02, Newport 2-0. Kilruane started strong in the 2nd half with Laura Shinners scoring 2 goals within minutes, followed by a goal and point from Newport. Mickela McGrath made a great run to score another goal followed by a point from Newport. Newport played their hearts out and scored a further 1-02 unanswered and were unlucky not to score another goal thanks to some excellent saves from goalkeeper Orla Molloy leaving the final score, Kilruane 6-04, Newport 3-03. This result gives Kilruane their third consecutive win in the group and they are due to play Annacarthy in Annacarthy on this Tuesday 10th June.

U12
Commiserations to the U12 team who lost out to a very strong St. Cronan’s side in The Ragg on Thursday last in the U12 County Semi-final. This young team who had two wins in the earlier rounds of this competition played their hearts out but had to give way to a much stronger team on the evening. Training continues on Wednesday evenings in Ardcroney from 6.30pm.

U6, U8 and U10
Training continues every Wednesday evening in Ardcroney from 6.30 – 7.30pm. New members welcome.

Schools Camogie
Best of luck to Ardcroney NS who play Ballylooby NS in the U13C Cumann Na Mbunscoil County Final on Tuesday next June 17th in Semple Stadium at 12.40pm.
