Feile na nGael

This weekend is a very important weekend for Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie Club and for the U14 panel and their management team of Katy Starr, Freddie Williams and Martin Tooher. We are taking part in our first Feile in twenty years and are drawn in Section B with Newmarket-on-Fergus, Douglas, Co. Cork and Burgess. Special thanks to Kilruane Hurling club who have kindly sponsored a tracksuit for each of the U14 panel for this competition. We welcome Newmarket-on-Fergus club to our parish for the weekend – the team will arrive on Friday 19th with the first match to be played against Kilruane in Cloughjordan at 2pm. Both teams will travel to Birr on Friday evening for the Feile parade at 7.30pm. All three matches in our group will be played in Kilcolman on Saturday with the semi-finals to be played in Crinkle on Saturday evening and the final in Birr on Sunday.

U10

The U10 panel took part in the Nenagh U10 Blitz on Saturday last. Although they were not victorious on the day, they played 4 great matches against Moneygall, Nenagh, Toomevara and pulling off a win against Roscrea. This was a great performance by all twenty girls. Each team member was presented with a medal and team captain Amy Quinlisk also received a beautiful plaque. Many thanks to Nenagh club for their kind invitation and their hospitality on the day. Training continues on Wednesday nights in Ardcroney at 7pm.

U12

Training continues on Tuesday nights at 6.30pm and Saturday mornings at 11am in Ardcroney. This year, we are playing in the U12A group with teams from Cahir, Toomevara, Burgess/Duharra and Drom. The first round was played against Toomevara on Tuesday night last where we lost out to a much stronger team. Details of upcoming matches in the championship will be given at training.

Junior

Training continues in Cloughjordan on Friday nights only until the examinations are over.
